Queen Anne at the front, all folly at the back… I bet Peter Cook would have had a suitable joke… the comedian’s four bedroom former home in Hampstead Village is on the market with an asking price of £5m. Extensive landscaped rear gardens and a roof terrace, plus designated parking (which will make anyone who’s recently been looking in the area take note) add to its indisputable charms. The Cook connection? He lived in the property for the last 20 years of his life, and held notorious parties, for guests including the Pythons, Stones and others.
